![]() Even IMI had numerous problems with the Galil.Valmet perfected their rifles over a number of years. ![]() Mostly this shines a light on how realisticly difficult it is to do a good build than anything else. Century products have always had problems and need "tweaking".Century tries to give good service, and I believe they do the best they can despite some obvious production problems. Though some of the problems people speak of here with various weapons like the Galil and Tantal, are imortant to hear about I tend to think that the internet makes people lose objectivity. This is an easy fix with a dremel and a steady hand. This is caused by the corner being rounded instead of square. Mine as well as some others have had peening on the left hand corner. You might want to check the top front of the receiver where the bolt carrier contacts. I have no indentations on the flat parts of my locking lugs at all. This is no big deal considering how the bolt moves over them. My galil has the corners of the locking lugs slightly rounded off. ![]() If they are seriously dented back do not use the rifle, your headspace might be affected. After firing about 60 rounds look to see if your ejector has excessive peening on it. There are some bad ones of course but not all. Should I take it back for something else?ĭon't be so quick to assume you will have a problem with it. Then I read the forum and problems people are having with it. I was in there for something else that they had sold and came home with this. ![]()
